Hello my name is Kodi, and I am a storyboard artist living in Perth, Western Australia.
Like most artists I am self taught and the skills I have developed throughout my lifetime, have been used in various professional industries, the majority of which being web design and digital marketing.
When i’m not working I like to spend my time bringing stories to life, through the art of storyboarding and illustration.
Why? Well because I love story. Especially the kinds of stories that are told mostly with pictures (thank you childhood comic book addiction).
I watch, read, draw and write stories as often as I can. Consuming visual storytelling helps to inform my own storytelling abilities, and I would like to think that it has put me in a position to help your project to shine.
Much of what I know about the skill of storyboarding comes from my CGMA lecturer and professional storyboard veteran, Lanny Markasky, where the emphasis on storyboarding was placed on communicating ideas and narrative clearly and quickly.
As part of achieving this directive I have learned how to capture ideas using both 2D and 3D. So I am not a purist, nor am I limited to using one method over another. For me it will always come down to which method gets me the best result in the shortest amount of time possible.
When I am not storyboarding or downloading more stories into my brain, you can find me coaching youth basketball, working out or working on my current NFT art project Block Rockin Ballers.
